It's the Weekend...

... and this weekend, well, I will be working!!

Do you love this library or what? Totally would never dare to do a velvet yellow sofa in my house, but look how cheery it is!! The mix of citrus colors against that dark, glossy bookshelf is so cool! I am hugs fan of orchids, in all different colors, and this arrangement is beautiful, not to mention the large orange container!!! You really can look at this image a hundred times, and find something surprising and new every time...

... Nope, not 1001 Nights Dream, that's not where I am going with this post :), one thousand and one books, perhaps!?

Look at this great reading nook! The ticking on the cushions and the bolster, the fresh soft-pink roses, the large soft pillow, perfect reading light.... Spending a cozy afternoon here would be alright with me!

At Lonny Magazine, this image is tagged as an office......    hmmmm, I don't think I would get a thing done, at least not for a while! On the other hand; how inspiring, every thing at your finger tips!

Tall, Dark and Handsome

See, I knew I would get your attention ;)

And since this is (mostly) an interior design blog, I figured I better stick to that...

I  just came across this image, and since black and white interiors are right up my alley, I figured this tall, dark and handsome cabinet would fit right in here at Northern Light! 

I like the extra height, and the glossy finish. With the interior painted white, the cabinet stays light in feeling.

The image is form Home Beautiful, but I am not sure where the home is actually located....

Next !

So, one of the things that happen when you do a remodel of one room, suddenly what looked OK before, looks like it might need a makeover.... DANGER!!!!!

Now that the kitchen is 90% done, my eyes have been wondering in to the living room.....



I think we need a new book shelve; actually I have already spoken to someone about a built in version ;) and I can't wait till it's done, just wondering how to pay for it... but, all those design books need a home!



And the bedrooms.... looking at so many images from my files, can't quite settle on one style, there are so many great ones. This one is just a bit more traditional than my taste, but pretty non the less!

.....focus, focus!

What happens to the bathrooms? We can't leave them like that, can we..... ?
Thank God, the very first thing we did back when we purchased this house, was redo the guest bath!

I am running out of money fast!!!!
