Citrus Season!

Happy - belated - New Year, to all of you, who still hang in there with me!

A new year, how exciting!! A new year calls for a fresh start, and what better start than to infuse your life with a little Lemon? Be it a tall glass of cold water infused with tasty lemon, or a hand soap, even a fancy Wet Nap will make you feel so refreshed!! I picked up these amazingly fragrant Meyer Lemons at the market the other day, sooooo good!

Almost too pretty to open…

These little easy-to-bring-along towelettes are amazing, not sticky and subtle in their fragrance :) Just a little pick-me-up on this first Monday of the New Year.

A Celebration...

A celebration is in order!!  The Northern Light Blog turns 4 years today, and what a wonderful time it's been, reading all your blog posts out there, writing my own, and following along with others from a far!

You might think I have lost my marbles, posting three images of the same venue, but I can explain… well, actually… I just couldn't choose, and I kinda like the natural progression :)

This beautiful table was done up by non other than India Hicks, for - what I am absolutely sure was - an amazing New Years Eve Celebration on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. 
I take it my invite must have gotten lost in the mail ;)

Yes & No.....

Today, January 1, 2011, marks the 1 year anniversary of the Northern Light Blog! YEAH!! It's been 365 days, 238 posts later, 372 fantastic comments and one new job! What a year...

I have had so much fun posting, researching, commenting on all my favorite blogs out there, connecting with all you fabulous people who have been blogging much longer than I have. Northern Light has opened my eyes to art and artist from around the world. I have a new found admiration for photographers, how much work it really takes to do fantastic photography... subjects, lighting, color and composition. Interior designers who really know their craft are the biggest inspiration to me, and then there are the pioneers of the virtual magazines, you are doing an unbelievable job! I appreciate all you great writers out there!! I am only beginning to embrace writing, as you can tell... Overall, this has been such a learning experience!

I encourage you all to voice your opinion, leave a comment, how ever small, and know it is the comments and encouragement that makes the (blog) world go round!! Remember to give credit where credit is due, and let's have a great New Year!!
