The year is coming to an end, and what better way to say good bye than with a good cup of java, a healthy bite and gorgeous white roses??

Yep, this is pretty much what is happening right now... Computer open, Coffee in my cup, Breakfast half way done, and any minute I need to be out the door!

Have a busy day scheduled today... Furniture and accessory shopping, could be fun and fruitful, could be a lot of running around, but hopefully we will find at least some of what we need :)

(Sunday) Morning Java

Full disclosure...

I have not been to this Melbourne, Australia, Coffee Shop, have not tasted their coffee, nor their deliciously looking pastries, but I would sure like to!! 

I stumbled upon these images of Market Lane Coffee, while looking for just the right Morning Java image for today's post, and decided to post this little series, hope you enjoy! And if you happen to have been there, do tell; is everything as good as it looks??? Coffee, atmosphere, food?

Since I have not tasted the coffee, this post - for me - is about the interior... I love all the natural light, but the raw wood of the farmhouse community table against the white subway tile, really makes the space feel warm and cozy, don't you want to plop down here to share a cup of java with a friend??? The consistent use of the dark green enamel is equally as appealing to me! The light fixtures throughout as well as the Tolix chairs and fresh snow berry foliage... someone has a good eye for "the little things" and the consistency of color!

Yummy!! Love the mix and match cup and saucer, very relaxing, and I am so happy to NOT see a plastic spoon!!

This morning I am starting the day sharing a cup of coffee with a dear friend, these days are to far and few in between!!

In actuality, today is a super busy day... house cleaning and all the errands that go with that, finishing up emails for the week, and preparing for two exciting already-in-the-works projects for next week. Hopefully I can fit it all in :)

Rise and Shine!

It's a super beautiful day here in South Florida! Sunny, cool (for us), no wind (not even a breeze at this point), no clouds, no dreaded humidity, just PERFECT! 

I feel so fortunate that I can enjoy this weather, really enjoy it :) For as long as I have lived here, I have been working in a job, where this time of year is "crunch time", being that South Florida is a seasonal place for so many northerners, which translates into "busy time" for everyone else, which again means that one is stuck working many extra hours and therefor is unable to truly appreciate why we choose to live in Florida in the first place... hmmmm... Clearly I have been longing for the freedom to truly enjoy what so many come so far to have, and all along I have "it" right here!!

So today, I will be HAPPY and APPRECIATIVE !

(Monday) Morning Java...

OK, so by the time this post hits the blog-o-sphere, it will have become afternoon, but that's only because I have been busy tackling my to-do list this morning... Yes, I actually wrote a list, so not to forget anything, and let me tell you... it's a loooonnnggggg one today, LOL!!

What's on the agenda for the weekend? I will be shopping for clients all day tomorrow, Saturday, hard work, but love to find that special something that will be just the right accessory.
Love stumbling upon new shops and cool looks! Sunday looks like a working day as well, but that's ok, as I have had a little time to myself yesterday :)

(Friday) Morning Java

So yes, I have been going a little country lately, I know :) I hope you don't mind?

As we "speak" this ironstone pitcher is filled with yellow and orange roses, but they are on their last day, so no picture today, however, this pretty image will have to do as you enjoy your Morning Java.

Again, I am encouraging you to style up your everyday cups and plates, adding fresh flowers and leaving out your fresh fruit, not only for visual, but for easy access :) Wouldn't it be wonderful to start your day in a spot like this? Little bit of melon, an english muffin, beautiful fresh eggs (I'm thinking Martha Stewart would be proud of this bowl of soft hued farm eggs :) ) and the piece de resistance... French Press coffee maker!

- I have a confession to make. For our wedding we were given a French Press coffee maker, and every time I try to use it, the coffee is either too strong or not strong enough... really frustrating!! Do any of you have any tips for me??

Morning Java

It's Saturday morning and how wonderful would it be to start the day here at this pretty, bright spot?

Make your favorite coffee drink, fill a pretty bowl with berries, be rejuvenated by the wonderful light and take in this wonderful display of everyday cups and bowls. This reminds me of how important it is (to me at least) to make the most of everyday objects, make your surroundings so that you are happy in your home!! Order is a big factor for me, but of course I also have my share of mess, don't be fooled :)
