Birthday Celebration

Is anyone even still following along with this blog?? 

If you are still out there, you are in for a treat today :) Not only did I decide to come out from the shadows, but you will be served up a few super pretty images of a Birthday Celebration for a one year old! - nope, not Lilly's, but Eva's… I don't know Eva, but she sure is darling :)  I came upon these images after I researched a dress by Coco and Ginger of Bali, and you know how the internet swallows you up sometimes…

 

Tee Pee perfection if you are a one year old, I suppose, but I was drawn to the "water colored" balloons! Don't they look fun? The feathers below were hand painted for the occasion, and wait to you see what they were used for…

I mean, really… such cuteness, love the feather inspired cookies!

And a Dream Catcher! The theme was soo well executed, I can feel the boho vibe of this miniature birthday party, right through the images!!

Eva is not only adorable, but she was very lucky to have such a beautiful and girly birthday party, as her first. It set's the tone for what is expected going forward, does it not?? :)

If you still follow along, Thank You so much, obviously it has been slim pickings this year! I find that it has been really difficult to find the time… being a FT mom, and working PT, there simply have not been enough hours in the day, so something had to give, I am sorry to say. I do post a lot to Instagram, so if you care to follow along there, this is the link. I will try to do better in 2015!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my mothers Birthday, and I am sending flowers via the net :) This bouquet remind me a lot of how exactly she arranges flowers; different kinds, same tonality, interesting vase, very "english garden"...

... and there must be a card, right? this one from Terrain is PERFECT!!!

Since my father is visiting for a few weeks starting tomorrow, an actual "real" birthday gift will be accompanying him back home...

Loving Orchids!

I am more than a little obsessed with Orchids! I don't think I have ever met one I didn't like... It all started when I moved to Florida.

I am in the very lucky position to have several, ok... A LOT, in and around my house right now, and while I get to live with them, I thought I would share with all of you :) I have photographed all of the flowers and just posted a mini album on the Northern Light FB page, so check them out, you will be happy you did, I promise :) While you are there... The above lime colored Orchid, was a Birthday present from Mr. Wonderful last week, and I just love how bright it is!! Are you an orchid grower / fan / lover ??

One for You, One for Me...

How cheerful are these sprinkled cupcakes, makes you HAPPY, right??

While the florists are super busy today, I was lucky that Mr. Wonderful came home with TWO beautiful orchids yesterday; Hot Pink for Valentines Day and White for My Birthday (both today), so I couldn't be happier!!!!

Soooo, over the weekend a very special someone, had a very special birthday, and his mother - my old roomie / good friend - put on an outdoor birthday bash....

Guess what..?

While everyone celebrates Valentine's Day, I also celebrate...  MY BIRTHDAY !!

I was lucky to start the celebration with girlfriends over brunch yesterday.... and celebrating with Mr. Wonderful today! Phone started ringing early this morning, and friends on FB have already sent wishes!

What more to ask for, than friends and family remembering "my day"?
... perhaps, that you sign up as a follower, if you are not one already?? :)

Birthday Lunch

I can only imagine how fantastic the table looked.....



Friends and Family gathering today to celebrate my mothers BIG Birthday!!
The birthday lunch being held here, and guests are treated to the customary coffee, tea, beer and "nat mad" at the house before everyone drives back from the celebration.

Wishing I could be there to celebrate and see everyone again, looking forward to visit later in the summer!!
