Are you The Everygirl?

It's true, it's live and it's The Everygirl site!
We have been teased for days now, the excitement has been building!
Check out this new site, I am sure it will be The Everygirls go-to source for inspiration and information. Like having a girlfriend in-the-know, you know, someone you can ask all the silly questions you kinda think you probably should know the answers to already, but don't...

Have fun exploring, and let me know what you think... if you remember to come back to the Northern Light Blog :)

Two in one...

Today I celebrate two in one...

Valentines Day & My Birthday :)

The weather is fantastic (but that's to be expected ;)... ) sunny and blue skies.
I am planning on a really good year, as much more bad stuff happened "last year" than I care to remember!! So, go on, have a really fantastic day everyone!

BE HAPPY!!!!!

New Blog Love

For all you lovers of beautiful flowers, DIY projects and fantastic styling,
check out A Creative Mint!

I bet this the cutest little desk "get-up" you have seen in a while!

Dreamy photography, fantastic detail, fresh and spring-y colors...
Imagine this blown up and framed!

Don't you just want to "Stop and smell the Roses?"

My favorite!!!

I can even smell the geranium leaves... The colors and the layers & layers of petals.. Yummy!!

I am new to Leslie's blog, but can't wait to see what she posts tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that... Flowers make me so HAPPY!!!!

Stark Contrast

In stark contrast to the book-filled spaces in the post below, these are a perfect study (literally) in clean, and orderly! I really like the old worn office chair, in the image above.

The girly version; super pretty little spot, to do your office work....

...and TGIF !! I figured I would leave you with a pretty little nook with two of my favorite flowers; Hydrangas and Ranunculuars! Will you be picking up flowers for the weekend??

Have a fun filled weekend!

Happy Tuesday!

OK, so how cute is this little elephant, dutifully carrying his load of pretty flowers across the mantle piece?

Hope your start to the week is going well!

I have started the countdown to my vacation..... 5 days to go :)

Just the right size!
Check out the fantastic porch areas, you can move around with the sun, taking advantage of the great outdoors! Summer house living is all about extending the living space to include the outside.

I would LOVE to spend a little time here!

Talk about blurring the lines between inside and outside.
This almost qualifies as sleeping in the open,
but not quite roughing it ;)

The axis of the house; Fantastic light!

Keeping it fresh and pretty!

Would love to get my hands on a light fixture like this.
The surround on the mirror, the light fixture, works with the Moroccan tea trays on the patio...
It's the little things like that, that makes it work. Not too much, but just enough so that you notice the ethnic influence.

And last but not least... I.WANT. ONE. OF. THESE!!!!!!
(never mind it would take over my entire house.....)
I think this (x 2) cabinet is sooo fantastic, what do you think?

Looking forward to vacation time, it's not coming fast enough!!

I spy....

... Ranunculuars!

Noticed them at the market last week, wanting to take them home, but with the mess that is still going on here, I figured I would wait until we can really enjoy them!

So, here are some beautiful images to "hold me over".... check out the bouquet that started it all!

So pretty, delicate and feminine!!

Hope I had a chance to brighten your day!

It's the weekend...

White ranunculus.... so fresh and pretty!
I love how tight the bouquet is, the little bits of green peeking thru...

I have just recently come across this blog, it's just as new as Northern Light.
Enjoy your visit, I did, and I can't wait to see more!

Have a refreshing weekend!
