Sunday Flowers

Just a quick note today, trying to keep up the Sunday Flowers post "schedule" :)
By the way, do you like this little series??

I am so loving how this fresh, green, foliage looks, it just proves that if you don't have flowers in your garden to cut from, or if buying a few stems is not in the budget, that you can still have a beautiful bouquet!! Get out there with the shears, there is still lots to pick from, I am sure!

Here in Florida, I once in a while cut a palm leaf and put it in a tall clear glass vase, I find that it brings great color and "coolness" to my space... I like the vase to be as simple and discreet as possible, similar to the bottle above. Adding a little something to your vignette - i.e. the green glass bottle -  just finishes the layered look, but in my opinion does not subtract, nor distract from "the star".

Tropical Flavor

I know, I know... Enough with the holiday ornaments already, is what I am guessing you are saying right about now?
... Notice the big clam shell :) I think I will try this; In fact I will try this, I'm going to fill it with all silver balls!!

Just wanted to share these pretty and easy to customize Christmas ornaments with you, courtesy of Anna Spiro. I find that the pink ribbon gives these hand blown glass pieces a little punch, and super easy to change to your color scheme!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Color, color, color!

I just can't help it....
These flowers make me smile :)

The vase is super pretty, it's from the new Summer vignette by Anna Spiro, but unfortunately for me (and you) it's already purchased by some lucky person...

You can check out her new Christmas shopping story here. I really like Anna's concept, it's like shopping in the store (well, I actually haven't been, as I live on the other side of the world...) only this is for the world wide audience I imagine she has captured via her Absolutely Beautiful Things blog, with which I am sure you are familiar...? You should be! Check that out here if you are a newbie... :)

Have a fun Friday!

New on the virtual newsstand...

I was so tempted to post an image from the fantastic Black & Spiro store (that I have never visited), but figured that I would leave that up to others...
You all know how much fun I think that store is; I even proclaimed once, that I wanted to live there...

That being said, there are so many wonderful "blog homes" to view, and to read about, in the new Adore Home Issue. It just went live yesterday.

I come away with the above image, based on the beautiful saturated colors, the natural elements... Beautiful green glass, pottery in the most fantastic teal, the lemons ad a wonderful pop of color and what I can only imagine to be fresh herbs in the background. Loving the play on matte and shiny, glass and glaze, grey and white! Notice how your eye is drawn back to the amber and red glass ware in the very back...

This is my favorite image of them all!
Happy reading,

Natasha

Details

Something so sweet and girl-y about these two images... Almost like a secret look into private quarters!

Love the silvery textures and colors in the first image, and the golden brassy feel of the second image!

When you are not wearing your jewelery, do you display it? Do you hide it, or do you simply have so much that you have a designated drawer for your accessories??

Do you have a favorite image?? While I am more of a silvery, white gold, platinum kind of girl, I tend to like the golden image better.... hmmmm.... probably the teal that's drawing me in.

Tenth Holiday Post.

Setting the table is always fun! Use the old with the new and lots of candles! Use glass and reflective surfaces to really make the table sparkle.... This table scape totally reminds me of how my mother would use natural elements, mixed in with the china! Hi P!

How are you planning to set the table? Lots of glitz? Natural? Festive colors? Neutrals?

Just Because...

I found one more great hallway that would go so well with this post. Pretty, right? The glass in the french doors by the entrance is so old fashioned and girly, yet the space is so now! ...well, to me anyway.

I spy....

... Purple Rain!

This is my all time, absolute favorite image from my files!!
Not only do I love tulips, but the color!!!! The light, the mood.....

Great texture, beautifully executed.

OK, so how chic is this girl in her purple tights!?
Why let a little snow get in the way of fashion, or a paint job??

Great painted purple ceiling, just try to pull this off, but it totally works here. Black lacquer Asian chairs, fantastic painted floors, great use of a long narrow room!

I know purple is either a hit or miss for may people, I certainly did not grow up with any purple - as far as I can remember - but it is definitely a color that works great with all the cool greys and the beautiful light in Scandinavia.

Just so happens that Amethyst is my birthstone..... who knew?

How Lucky!

Just recently I mentioned Glassybaby on my blog, and now I read in the March issue of Lucky magazine that Glassybaby is donating 10% of their overall sales to charity! GREAT!
Does this mean I have another excuse to start my collection?

A powerful light indeed....

How fabulous are these glass votives from Glassybaby!!
I think I need to start a collection, how about you?

Hyg dig!
